5 Levels of Intimacy

His mercy and grace follow me all my days. He is relentless. He is like the hounds of hell with a scent on my trail. He never gives up. I am being stalked. He cares nothing for my abrasiveness. His angels follow me and trip me up so they can hover over me and pour out His love. 

 

But, I fight off His attention because I know it wouldn't be fair. I don't deserve His love. I have not honored Him. I need to prove myself and justify what Jesus did on the cross. I need to do my part and sacrifice my time and energy to supplement what Jesus did on the cross. Surely what He did is not enough. I need to sacrifice myself and save myself from my sins. 

 

Then I will be able to receive His love and justify what He did on the cross. It is the only right thing to do. So please Lord, stop following me and haunting me with your grace, mercy and love. I am sure one day, I will be able to qualify for what you did on the cross. And if for some reason, I don't reach that place, I apologize for not being good enough.

 

My prayer: Forgive me Lord if I have ever taken away from what you did on the cross by trying to do it on my own. I surrender my self to you and await your guidance to do your will.
