Fear of Success

The secret to living a fulfilling life is not overcoming your fear of failure, it's overcoming your fear of success.  If you are only working on your fear of failure, then you aren't reaching for success but surviving in a dry land where there is no water and a culture of scarcity. (Sounds bad)

If you are working on your fear of success, you will overcome both your fear of failure and your fear of success.  When you break through a fear of success, you begin to live in the land of prosperity.

So, focus on Success and breaking through to the next level.  What you focus on expands.  You reap what you sow.  You sow with your thoughts and that creates your future.  Think of negative thinking as an attack on your dreams, your family, your finances, and your future.

When you begin to think of thoughts as your future, you can never again allow a negative thought to take root in your soul.  Think of them as poison trying to stifle the good things flowing your way.  Keep your mind fresh.  The mind has a tendancy to incubate thoughts, nurturing emotions that are stored in your soul and then used by your ego to control you.

Give your soul the weapons and nutrition it needs to guide you to prosperity.  Stop craming worry, fear, depressing thougths, and anger down there.  What you focus on expands and clogs the system.  It takes over as a stronghold.  What do you want taking a stronghold in your life?  Good thoughts or bad?

By the way, change occurs externally little by little; your finances, relationships, and environment.  But internally, it can change quickly by gaining control of your thoughts which are the rudder of your emotions.

Enjoy this poem named "Our Deepest Fear."

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

  1. Great article (as usual) because I know. I have been afraid of success all my life, just didn't know it nor how to deal with it. Have never felt like I deserved to be successful. There needs to be more people like Michael Dunn in the world.
